Houston Mold Remediation
We cannot perform mold remediation and licensed mold remediators cannot perform mold testing. The State of Texas has divided the "powers" for the benefit of consumers, and it works well.. here's why:
The part of mold erradication the state of Texas has assigned us, aside from the actual testing, is the ability to write a document entitled "Protocol for Remediation". This document is needed by the licensed remediators to properly bid the work. This is good for the homeowner, because the same document can be given to various remediators, who have to bid the job in a similar manner ("apples to apples"). The protocol we write is site-specific to the home and the area within the home that is to be remediated. The object is to determine how best to set up containment barriers, negatative air machines, entrances, etc., for the maximum protection of the workers and homeowners and to achieve the ultimate goal: CLEARANCE.
We also can be hired to assure that the remediators are performing the work properly and according to our protocol as well as to the Texas State Department of Health Guidelines.
Finally, we perform the "Clearance Testing" needed by the remediators and YOU to know that the work was performed properly and the air has been cleaned. At that time a "Clearance Certificate", signed by us and the licensed remediators is given to you.
